Mahindra Cars
4 models available.
Mahindra builds SUVs and very little else, and that focus shows. The company traces its four-wheel-drive heritage back to assembling Willys Jeeps in the late 1940s, and the Thar, Scorpio and Bolero still carry ladder-frame, go-anywhere DNA. The XUV700 moved the brand into more sophisticated territory.
CarQuill India currently tracks 4 Mahindra models. Prices run from ₹11.35 Lakh for the Thar up to ₹18.90 Lakh for the BE 6. The line-up covers suv body styles. Fuel options across the range include electric, petrol and diesel. Every model here offers an automatic.
What to weigh up before you buy
If you want genuine off-road capability or a car that shrugs off bad roads, Mahindra is the obvious shortlist. Recent models score very well in crash tests. The catch is running costs: diesel engines dominate the range, service intervals are not cheap, and older Mahindras had a reputation for electrical gremlins that the brand is still working to shake off.
