About CarQuill USA
CarQuill USA is an independent car research site. We exist to answer a narrow question well: which new car should you actually buy, given your budget, your roads and what you need the car to do?
We currently cover 88 models from 25 brands on sale in the United States, each with specifications, an editorial review, pros and cons, variant and colour information, owner-perspective notes and FAQs. Around that catalogue we build the tools people actually need while shopping: side-by-side comparisons, a loan calculator with the real amortisation formula behind it, out-the-door price estimates for individual cities, and plain-language buying guides.
Why we built it
Car research online tends to fail in one of two directions. Manufacturer sites tell you everything about one car and nothing about its rivals. Classified portals are optimised to hand your phone number to a dealership. Neither is much help when what you want is an honest comparison of four cars in the same price band, with the running costs included.
So this site has no lead-generation forms, no login, and no dealer hand-off. You can read every page without giving us anything.
How we work
Specifications are compiled from publicly available manufacturer information and normalised into one consistent format so cars can be compared without translating between brochures. All written content is produced for this site. We use AI tools in our drafting and image production, edit the output, and take responsibility for what is published. Our editorial policy explains this in full, including how we rate cars and how we handle corrections.
The vehicle images across the site are illustrations created for CarQuill USA rather than manufacturer photography. That keeps us clear of other people's image copyright, and it means you should treat our images as an impression of body style and colour, not as a record of a specific trim.
How we pay for it
Advertising, and nothing else. No manufacturer or dealer pays for coverage, a rating or a placement, and no one gets to preview what we write. If we ever run sponsored content it will be labelled as sponsored on the page.
Accuracy, and what to do when we are wrong
Prices and specifications change frequently and vary by variant, city and offer. Everything here is indicative, so always confirm the final figures with an authorised dealer before you commit. If you spot an error, email cars@carquill.com. We check reported errors and fix the page.
